Atlantic Images became a member of the National Association of Press Agencies in 2016.
Members of the National Association of Press Agencies are among the most professional and experienced freelance journalists and photographers working in the United Kingdom, Europe and beyond. Founded in 1982, the association draws the majority of its membership from the premier agencies providing news, pictures and features from every town and city in the UK. Its main objectives are to further the interests of its members and maintain professional standards of conduct.
Atlantic Images are delighted to join the diverse collection of elite press agencies and see this as an important step to furthering their high photographic and journalistic standards.
Founders Christopher and Peter Whittle are proud to follow in their late father’s footsteps, Brian Whittle, who passed away in 2005. Brian started Cavendish Press in 1979 and built up the Manchester company to become one of the leading press agencies in the UK. They were, and are still are, members of NAPA.
